This study critically examined the Indian Knowledge System (IKS)'s credibility. The Indian Knowledge System (IKS) comprises a vast and varied array of knowledge systems that have significantly influenced the world. We can trace the historical origins of this to the Vedas and Upanishads, which gave rise to six schools of Indian philosophy, including Buddhism and Jainism. IKS has made major contributions to several disciplines like mathematics, astronomy, medicine, metallurgy, and engineering. Current times have reborn the effect of IKS on social and political philosophy, highlighting its enduring significance. The fundamental value of science in the Indian knowledge system comes from its overall approach, which combines philosophy and spirituality, and its practical focus on improving human well-being. While we acknowledge the scientific contributions of ancient Indians, ongoing study aims to fully grasp the extent and significance of their accomplishments in the context of global scientific history.
